Line Cook

Local Brewing Co. is looking for a one full-time and one part-time line cook to run the prep kitchen at our 10-barrel brewery and beer bar in San Francisco's SoMa neighborhood, just two blocks from AT&T Park. We're opening in June.

Our spot is a high-profile destination, where our small batches of approachable beer will be accompanied by our specially designed menu of small plates.

We're looking for line cooks that see cooking as more than just a job, and who want to get in on the ground floor of a growing craft beer business, and have fun while doing it.

Responsibilities
• Help support the opening of the brewery and kitchen.
• Perform all aspects of production: from prepping to cooking to serving.
• Setup, service and breakdown of stations and signage.
• Follow recipes and execute with integrity.
• Clean and maintain kitchen stations in accordance with all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean work environment at all times.
• Help guests, answer questions and fulfill guests' requests.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years experience in a formal kitchen environment. Relevant experience will be considered.
• Commitment to quality service, food and beverage knowledge.
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills, local and seasonal ingredients, and diverse cooking styles and cultures.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Willing to work with alternative approaches and overcome limitations.
• "Jump in and help" attitude.
• Good knowledge of local products, producers and farms.
• Passion about craft beer a plus
