Local Brewing Co. is looking for a part-time line cook to run the small but mighty kitchen here at our 10-barrel brewery and beer bar in San Francisco's SoMa neighborhood, two blocks from AT&T Park.

We serve a variety of rotating beers brewed here at our brewery, and we also serve a casual, but well-executed menu of sausages and sandwiches.

** We're looking for an independent and reliable Sausage & Sandwich cook that wants to be a part of a growing brewery team. This is a great entry role for someone who is looking to start their career in a brewery pub/kitchen. You will be trained to run the small kitchen as the solo cook during your two shifts -- Sundays and Mondays. It's a manageable role where you will be expected to execute ~50+ covers with special attention to detail and little supervision.

*Please note that Local Brewing Co. is a brewery that offers patrons a variety of warm panini and sausages, it is not a full-service restaurant. All food menu items are simple but perfectly prepared by one person in a small, Prep Kitchen (no hood and no grill).

Required Skills & Experience

Responsibilities
- Own kitchen operations on Sundays & Mondays, including flawless execution of orders, and maintaining a clean work environment at all times.
- Perform all aspects of food production: from prep to cooking to plating all dishes.
- Proactive management of ingredients, including assistance with inventory.
- Setup, service and breakdown of station and dishwashing, including leaving a clean, sanitary station at night.
- Follow recipes and execute every dish with integrity.
- Clean and maintain kitchen stations in accordance with all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other Kitchen Team Members, Brewers, Beertenders, Runners and Company Founders.
- Must be able to work Sundays & Mondays from 2pm - 9pm. Additional shifts may be available.
- Must be able to work independently and execute accurately without constant supervision.
- Must maintain exceptionally clean appearance.
- Must consistently arrive on time and ready for work.
- Must be able to access work schedules via email.

Requirements
- 1-2+ years experience in a working kitchen environment is preferred.
- A strong interest in food preparation and attention to detail while working independently in a small kitchen could suffice for the right candidate.
- Food Handlers card required; Food Manager Cert a plus.
- Commitment to quality service, food and beverage knowledge.
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills, local and seasonal ingredients, and diverse cooking styles and cultures.
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Willing to work with alternative approaches and overcome challenges and limitations.
- Natural "jump in and help"/Team Player mentality.
- Professional and positive attitude.
- Clean & Punctual.
- Good knowledge of local products, producers and farms.
- Passion/interest in craft beer and/or food pairing a plus.
